Toledo men’s tennis senior Luis Kleinschnitz and junior Pawit Sornlaksup earned a spot on the Academic All-MAC team, the league announced.
This is the first Academic All-MAC honor for both Rockets.
The 2023 MAC Player of the Year, Sornlaksup earned MAC Scholar-Athlete of the Week honors twice this season and was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) 2023 Academic All-District Men’s Tennis Team.
Toledo earned a program-best 3.679 GPA for the 2023 spring semester, with one President’s List recipient, six Dean’s List honorees and two who made Honor Roll.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete not in their first year on the team must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
