Dr. Joel Kammeyer, infectious disease specialist at UTMC and assistant professor in the UToledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences, said a recent study found the COVID-19 vaccine made by Pfizer is 96% effective against hospitalization from the virus’s delta variant and encouraged people to get vaccinated.
