The University of Toledo is now offering expanded access to on-demand telemedicine services for students, employees and their beneficiaries through a partnership with University of Toledo Physicians.

University of Toledo Physicians is providing convenient and secure virtual care services for urgent care needs, such as sprains and strains, earaches, sore throats, headaches and infections. Appointments are available from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, including weekends.

To speak with an on-demand health provider, visit utmc.utoledo.edu/telemedicine.

The service began Sept. 1 and is currently limited to enrolled students, faculty, staff and their beneficiaries. Individuals making an appointment on the website will be quickly connected with a healthcare provider. If follow-up services are needed after the urgent care visit, University of Toledo Physicians has 50 primary care physicians and 250 specialists.

Services are covered by the UToledo Student Health Insurance Plan and all of UToledo’s employee health insurance plans. Depending on the plan, co-pays, deductibles or co-insurance may apply. All other insurance will be billed in line with plan coverage.

Individuals without health insurance or who elect to self-pay will be charged $59.
