The Center for International Studies and Programs is celebrating International Education Week Monday through Friday, Nov. 9-13.

The week is an opportunity to spotlight the benefits of international education and exchange. This joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education is part of the effort to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn and exchange experiences.

“We would encourage everyone on campus to participate in International Education Week,” Xinren Yu, assistant director of the Center for International Studies and Programs, said. “If you have an event related to international education and it’s happening that week, we would like to include it on the event master calendar and help to promote it.”

Event information should be shared on the International Education Week website.

“We will select events to be included in our International Education Week calendar,” Yu said.

Events should be submitted for consideration by Friday, Oct. 30.
