Rockets gain votes in AP poll, move up to No. 26; No. 31 in coaches poll

Fresh off the upset of previously unbeaten Cincinnati, the Toledo Rockets zoomed up the latest football polls, nearly cracking the Top 25 for the first time since 2001.

The Rockets received 49 points in the Associated Press media poll, placing 26th in the country. The Rockets also garnered 30 points in the USA Today Coaches Poll, good for 31st place.

Toledo (7-1, 4-0 Mid-American Conference) knocked off Cincinnati, 29-23, Saturday. Going into the game, the Bearcats were ranked No. 18 in the coaches poll and No. 21 in the AP poll.

Toledo will play at Buffalo Saturday, Oct. 27.
