Approximately 100 recruiters and sales professionals will come to The University of Toledo’s Student Union on Main Campus Wednesday, March 18, to interact with more than 200 professional sales students in the UT College of Business Administration Edward H. Schmidt School of Professional Sales’ annual Networking Night.
Almost 40 companies will be looking for the right individuals for internships and full-time positions.
“The challenged economy has taken a small bite out of the number of firms attending our fourth annual Networking Night,” said Dr. Richard Buehrer, director of the Edward H. Schmidt School of Professional Sales. “However, our students are still in demand and are being successfully placed. In fact, the students are excited about this event because they know that the firms attending this event are more stable and are investing in their sales force.”
From 6 to 8 p.m., students will build their career pipeline and practice networking skills while enjoying a variety of appetizers with possible future employers.
“Networking Night is designed to be more intimate than a typical career fair,” Buehrer noted. “It offers students the chance to learn how to navigate in a social and networking environment.”
The Edward H. Schmidt School of Professional Sales is ranked among the top sales programs in the United States and has a career placement rate approaching 100 percent.
