Three UT students and three employees are being recognized for their shots submitted to the International Education Week Photo Contest.
Elliott Free, a communication major, took first place in the student category for a photo of the Masaya Volcano in Managua, Nicaragua.
Ericka Bilby, who is pursuing a master of business administration degree, placed second with her shot of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, and Andrea Tsatalis, a biology major, took third place with a photo of Mystras, Greece.
In the faculty/staff category, Tamara Golkiewicz, secretary in the Geography and Planning Department and the Political Science and Public Administration Department, won first place with a photo taken in Tulum, Mexico.
Stephanie Goller, manager in the Office of Student Financial Aid, came in second with her shot that was taken in Venice, Italy, and Laurie Puszczewicz, a senior lecturer in Spanish, took third with her photo, “Eagles Nest,” which was taken in Germany.
The winning photos are on display in the Center for International Studies and Programs, located in Snyder Memorial Building Room 1000.
The contest was part of International Education Week, which was celebrated last month.
