As Americans are reaching out to provide assistance and funds for Hurricane Harvey victims, UT is helping with aid efforts by collecting donations through Friday, Sept. 8.
Donation tables will be set up outside of the Thompson Student Union each day from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Money raised will be used to support University of Houston students affected by Hurricane Harvey.
“Every little bit counts,” said Kayann Carlson, graduate assistant for the Office of the Dean of Students, who is organizing the fundraising event. “If everyone at the University gives one dollar, that’s thousands of dollars. Even pocket change helps. What everyone is giving is amazing.”
