Carlson Library is sponsoring a book cart parade float contest for students to showcase their Rocket Pride for Homecoming.
The book cart parade float contest is for teams of three to four students, with the number of teams limited to 10. Decoration times are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, in Room 1005. Additional decoration times are available from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, and from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25.

Materials will be provided but teams are invited to bring their own supplies to make their cart stand out.
The finished, decorated carts will be displayed on Carlson Library’s first floor from Monday, Sept. 26, through Thursday, Sept. 29. During that time, library visitors are encouraged to cast their vote for their favorite float.
The winning team will be announced on the afternoon on Sept. 29 and will receive one $50 gift certificate to Stubborn Brother Pizza Bar. The second-place team will receive individual swag bags filled with University Libraries swag.
