Students, faculty and administrators interested in learning more about the Fulbright Program are invited to attend workshops sponsored by the Office of Competitive Fellowships.

The virtual workshops, scheduled Thursday, Nov. 17, will provide more information about grants for research, creative study or teaching assistantships abroad.

Faculty and administrators are invited to a special workshop from 10 to 11 a.m. geared toward their opportunities for Fulbright research initiatives offered in more than 125 countries. RSVP online for the Fulbright faculty workshop.

From 4 to 5 p.m., students can attend a workshop, hosted by Fulbright staff, which focuses on general information about the program’s history, eligibility, award types, award benefits and application components and tips. RSVP online for the student workshop.

“The Fulbright Student program has endless possibilities,” said Chessica Oetjens, Office of Competitive Fellowships program coordinator. “We are finding that a lot of our students don’t even know these wonderful opportunities exist and our office is here to walk them through the entire application process.”

Established in 1946, the U.S. Fulbright Program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
