Kids Night, Rocket Baby Race Set for Dec. 29 Rockets’ Game vs. Lourdes

A Kids Night and the Rockets’ Baby Race will be held at the Toledo men’s basketball team’s final non-conference game vs. Lourdes University on Thursday, Dec. 29.

Tip-off time for the contest is set for 6 p.m.

Babies who are still crawling will compete in the race with one parent at the starting line and one parent at the finish line. The winning baby will receive a Barnes & Noble gift card.

Kids of all ages will be able to have their pictures taken with Rocky and Rocksy prior to the game. There will also be several different activities to take part in on the concourse, such as a bounce house, skee ball, basketball shot and crafts.

At halftime, Rocket fans can see if their baby is the fastest crawler in northwest Ohio. Babies who are still crawling will compete in the race with one parent at the starting line and one parent at the finish line. The winning baby will receive a Barnes & Noble gift card.

Individuals can go to utrockets.com/babyrace to register. Registration will close on Friday, Dec. 23.

Each family selected to compete in the race will receive four free tickets to the Dec. 29 game and have the option to purchase additional tickets at a discounted price.
