Established in 1996, the Tribute to Women Awards honors women of northwest Ohio for their outstanding accomplishments and contributions in the areas of arts, business, education, government, sciences, social services and volunteerism.

Chang was honored for her contributions to the field of arts.

“I feel deeply honored and humbled,” Chang said. “I didn’t expect to receive such an exceptional award because there are countless other women tirelessly making contributions to the world who deserve to get recognized. I plan on using this platform to give back to the community as best as I can.”

Among the other Milestone Award recipients are three UToledo alumni: Dr. Cecelia M. Adams, who was recognized for government; Kristi Hoffman, who was recognized for volunteerism; and Ambrea Mikolajczyk, who was recognized for business. Former University of Toledo employee Erin Baker was one of three women recognized in a new category, Women on the Rise. Baker was recognized for her community involvement.
