Registration is open for the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences’ Pharmacy and Science Career Camp this summer, from Monday, June 12, through Wednesday, June 15.

The camp is for high school students going into their junior or senior year in fall 2023.

Participants will learn about UToledo’s pharmacy and science programs, hear from practicing pharmacists and participate in hands-on lab activities. There also will be a panel of UToledo alumni who will share their academic and career experiences.

Attendees will stay on campus in one of UToledo’s residence halls to get the full student experience.

“This camp is unique in that it allows high school students to explore the many paths available across not only pharmacy but also pharmaceutical science career options,” said Dr. Michelle Seegert, associate dean of admissions and enrollment management and a clinical associate professor. “It does this while providing a fun environment to live like college students in the dorms for a few days, explore both UToledo campuses and make lasting friendships.

“As a former pharmacy camper myself, I can state without a doubt it is a great opportunity for anyone considering a future in pharmacy or any science career. I found the perfect place for my college education and a forever career through attending this camp.”

The camp registration fee is $300 per student, with a limited amount of financial need scholarships available.
