The University of Toledo Business Incubator is searching for groundbreaking tech ideas and inventions to compete in Pitch & Pour, the region’s longest-running pitch competition.
Launched in 2013, Pitch & Pour is open to the University’s faculty, staff and students as well as members of the Northwest Ohio community. Chosen entrepreneurs will have the chance to compete for more than $17,000 in project funding and services.
To apply, visit the Pitch & Pour website and complete the online application form. Applicants are encouraged to provide a compelling description of the tech innovation and what sets it apart from the rest. The submission deadline is Monday, July 31, at 11:59 p.m., and shortlisted participants will be notified via email the week of Aug. 7.
Incubator team members will carefully review each submission and select the top five most promising tech disruptors. Chosen participants will work directly with incubator staff and industry professionals to complete a multi-phase preparatory program that will polish and refine their presentations.
The culmination of the competition will take place on Thursday, Nov. 2, in the College of Engineering’s Brady Center, during which finalists will pitch their ideas to attendees and a distinguished panel of local judges.
