As a reminder, The University of Toledo will close for the annual winter break from Monday, Dec. 25, through Monday, Jan. 1, at a time when most departments are slower than usual and to give our faculty and staff time to rest and rejuvenate for the new year.
Access to buildings will be restricted, and facility operations and ground maintenance also will be limited during the break. The University of Toledo Medical Center and its operations will remain open for patients and their guests.
The end of the semester and winter break also brings new hours and temporary closures of on-campus services through the holidays.
At Thompson Student Union, most dining locations will close as finals week concludes. Chick-fil-A, Market @ Student Union, The Eatery, True Burger and Starbucks will be open Friday, Dec. 15, but with limited hours: 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., respectively.
Frogtown Café and True Burger will be open Monday, Dec. 18, through Thursday, Dec. 21, with limited hours: 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Frogtown Café and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at True Burger.
Thompson Student Union will be closed Friday, Dec. 23, through Monday, Jan. 2, for winter break.
The Student Recreation Center will be closed Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 16 and 17, reopen Monday through Thursday, Dec. 18-22, with special hours, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., and close again for winter break from Saturday, Dec. 23, through Monday, Jan. 1.
The Student Recreation Center will reopen Tuesday, Jan. 2, with special hours through Sunday, Jan. 14: 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., weekdays, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekends.
The Student Recreation Center will have special hours on Monday, Jan. 15, from noon to 10 p.m.
The Student Recreation Center will return to normal hours on Tuesday, Jan. 16, with the first day of classes for spring semester.
The Morse Fitness Center on Health Science Campus will have special hours on Friday, Dec. 22, from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., close for winter break on Monday, Dec. 25, and reopen with special hours Tuesday through Friday, Dec. 26-29, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Carlson Library will be closed on Commencement, Saturday, Dec. 16, as well as Sunday, Dec. 17., and will have reduced hours of operation, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, Dec. 18-22.
The library will be closed for winter break and reopen Tuesday, Jan. 2, with limited hours, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Jan. 2 through Friday, Jan. 5, and Monday, Jan. 8, through Friday, Jan. 12. The library also will be closed the weekends of Jan. 6 and 7 and Jan. 13 and 14.
Carlson Library will be closed Monday, Jan. 15, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and will resume normal hours the first day of spring semester classes, Tuesday, Jan. 16.
The Main Campus Pharmacy and the pharmacy located in the Comprehensive Care Center on Glendale Avenue will be closed Monday, Dec. 25, Tuesday, Dec. 26, and Monday, Jan. 1. The pharmacies will be open with regular business hours for the rest of winter break.
The outpatient pharmacy in The University of Toledo Medical Center Medical Pavilion will be closed Sunday, Dec. 24, Monday, Dec. 25, Tuesday, Dec. 26, and Monday, Jan. 1.
The Student Health and Wellness Center on Health Science Campus will be closed Dec. 23 through Jan 1.
Virtual urgent care is available daily throughout winter break for UToledo students, faculty and staff.
