Barry Whittaker, a professor in the Department of Art, pictured, along with colleagues Daniel Hernandez and Arturo Rodriguez collaborated with students Aleitta Garrett, Meg Gillig, Liam Ginter and Ladi’Anna Ritsema to create ice installations at Center for the Visual Arts from Monday, Jan. 20, through Saturday, Jan. 26.
The artists froze water dyed with watercolor and acrylic paints in containers ranging from trash cans and recycling bins to balloons and latex gloves, then arranged the resulting forms in a courtyard.
The University of Toledo’s Center for the Visual Arts is located adjacent to the Toledo Museum of Art.
