Rocket Dining’s is hosting their fourth annual DelightFul event on Tuesday, Feb. 11, at The Eatery in Thompson Student Union. DelightFul is a part of a weeklong celebration coinciding with Random Acts of Kindness Week.
Rocket Dining is partnering with the Random Acts of Kindness Foundation to carry out random acts of kindness throughout the week, totaling 500,000 acts of kindness nationwide from other campuses partaking in DelightFul, bringing our total to over two million acts nationwide.
“At UToledo, we build a culture of compassion, respect and empathy, and DelightFul is a wonderful moment to express gratitude and show kindness to each other,” said Aaron Skees, director of marketing with Rocket Dining. “During DelightFul, students will share random acts of kindness in their Certified Kindness Kitchens as a way for UToledo to show appreciation to those who dine with us.”
The schedule:
• Monday, Feb. 10: Serve Those Who Serve. Students can join the Rocket Dining team in The Eatery from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. to pack treats for on-campus departments to say thank you for all the work they do.
• Tuesday, Feb. 11: Delightful. At The Eatery, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., students can enjoy a specialty menu and activities and goodies meant to spread kindness. Activities include making friendship bracelets, making Valentine’s cards, creating a kindness wall, and giveaways.

• Friday, Feb. 14: Supper Club Palentine’s. Welcome to Supper Club, where you come for dinner and leave with friends. Supper Club is a one-of-a-kind dining experience featuring a family-style upscale menu. Students can indulge in incredible cuisine as though they are at a high-class restaurant on campus. An inclusive event with an exclusive feel, Supper Club will feature a high-end atmosphere and entertainment, and we encourage students to dress to impress (though it’s not required). Our first Supper Club event, Palentine’s, is meant for both friends and couples. Are you looking for Valentine’s plans with your sweetheart? Have no plans and want to treat a friend to a nice meal? Supper Club is for you. To see the menu and sign up, visit the Supper Club website.
