The University of Toledo Ritter Planetarium will present two new programs in March: “Stars: Powerhouses of the Universe” and “One World, One Sky: Big Bird’s Adventure.”
“Stars: Powerhouses of the Universe,” narrated by actor Mark Hamill, explores the formation, destruction and our understanding of stars.
Geared toward audiences in fourth grade and older, “Stars” will screen at 7:30 p.m. Fridays through March 28.
“One World, One Sky: Big Bird’s Adventure” follows Big Bird, Elmo and a friend from the Chinese co-production of “Sesame Street” on an imaginary trip to the moon.
Appropriate for families with young children, “One World, One Sky” will screen at 1 p.m. Saturdays through March 29.
Admission to planetarium shows is $8 for adults and $6 for children, senior citizens and UToledo community members. Children ages 3 and younger are free. Parking is free in Area 1N within 45 minutes of the beginning of planetarium shows.
