The latest episode of The University of Toledo’s podcast, “Powering UToledo,” is now available and examines the evolution of UToledo’s medical college, student opportunities, career paths and our innovative partnerships.
Hosts UToledo Interim President Matt Schroeder and award-winning TV and media host Kristi K. Hoffman speak with Dr. Imran Ali, the newly named dean of the College of Medicine and Life Sciences at UToledo. They explore the history and evolution of the medical program and campus, unique opportunities for learners, various career pathways within health sciences, partnerships with healthcare systems like ProMedica and pioneering innovations in curriculum, research and simulation.
Ali also emphasizes the compassion, professionalism and expertise of UToledo graduates and touches on important traditions such as Match Day and the school’s body donation program.
“The University quality care that’s delivered in an academic medical center like UTMC is second to none,” Ali said. “In a university setting, you are likely to see experts in the field at the national and as well as international level that you would otherwise not be able to see for your clinical care.”
The “Powering UToledo” podcast highlights the University’s significant contributions in research, education and healthcare and provides an inside look into the institution’s innovation projects and future priorities.
