The University of Toledo College of Engineering will host more than 175 companies from across the country for its Fall 2025 Engineering Career Expo on Thursday, Sept. 18.
The expo is the first of two that the college hosts annually to support students seeking co-ops and post-graduation employment. Approximately 700 graduate and undergraduate students and alumni are expected to attend and network with company representatives and recruiters from 9 a.m. to noon in Savage Arena.

“We are very fortunate to continuously have a high demand from our employers who offer myriad engineering opportunities,” said Geoffrey Humphrys, assistant director of the Shah Center for Engineering Career Development. “The UToledo College of Engineering is one of just eight engineering colleges in the country with an integrated co-op program, and this is a key reason that students choose to study here and that companies choose to recruit from UToledo. The Engineering Career Expo is the perfect platform for our talented students and graduates to connect with these highly committed employers.”
The college’s integrated cooperative education program ensures that engineering science students graduate with a full year of relevant work experience on their resume.
Numerous corporate partners that routinely welcome students through the co-op program are set to participate in the Engineering Career Expo, including Cenovus Energy, First Solar, Libbey, Matrix Technologies, Nexus Engineering Group, North Star BlueScope Steel, NSG/Pilkington North America, PCC Airfoils, PTI, Rudolph Libbe, SSOE and Toledo Refining Company plus Dana Inc., Marathon Petroleum and Vistra on the Fortune 500.
Additional companies set to participate include Applied Environmental Solutions, First Energy, General Motors, Honda, Lubrizol, Monroe Environmental and USG.
“UToledo’s Engineering Career Fair is one of our most valued opportunities to connect with future engineering talent,” said Ali Wilson, a recruiter for Nexus Engineering Group. “We’ve had the privilege of working with many UToledo students through the University’s incredible co-op program, and we’re consistently impressed by their professionalism, technical skills and eagerness to learn. Several of our co-ops have gone on to build full-time careers with Nexus, contributing meaningfully to client projects and strengthening our teams in Maumee; Cleveland; Midland, Michigan; and Oak Brook, Illinois.
“The caliber of students we meet at UToledo directly aligns with the type of collaborative, innovative professionals we look for as we continue to grow. We look forward to every UToledo event and the chance to welcome more Rockets to the Nexus team.”
Jasper Perry, a mechanical engineering senior, said The Engineering Career Expo has been one of the most impactful experiences of his time at The University of Toledo.
“Meeting employers face to face led to multiple interviews, one of which resulted in a co-op with a company that aligned perfectly with my passion for glass,” Perry said. “That opportunity not only helped me grow professionally — it ultimately led to a full-time job offer. I’m incredibly grateful I attended the Career Expo that day; it truly opened the door to my future.”
