The University of Toledo Foundation’s Spooktacular Giving Challenge is in full swing — but with no tricks, just treats for Rocket Nation.
The monthlong fundraising campaign began on Oct. 1 and runs through Friday, Oct. 31, and features a fun Halloween theme to support students, faculty, staff and patients across the UToledo community. While the campaign highlights the Rocket Boost need-based scholarship, Rocket Fuel food pantries and Rocket-to-Rocket emergency fund, participants can donate to any of the Foundation’s more than 2,000 funds.
With your support, we can BOO-st Rocket spirits this season and reach the campaign goal of 500 donors.
To make a donation, visit the Spooktacular Giving Challenge website.
As a bonus, donors who give $10 or more to any fund will receive a special Rocket pumpkin carving stencil kit featuring 3 unique stencils to bring some Rocket Pride to your Halloween decorations. Later this month, the Foundation will host a pumpkin carving contest on their Facebook page, encouraging donors to use their stencils and show off their pumpkins and Halloween decorations.
Once 175 people donate to the Spooktacular Giving Challenge, a $500 bonus will unlock for one of the highlighted funds. The winner will be chosen via a poll on The University of Toledo Foundation Facebook page.
Another $500 match will be given to the Progress Fund of the college or division with the most donors to their funds during the campaign.
