The Title IX Office is collaborating with Rocket Dining Services, the Rocket Food Pantry, the Office of Student Engagement and Connections and the Four Seasons Bistro on Health Science Campus for Cup of Prevention Week.

This semiannual campaign takes place now through Friday, Dec. 5. More than 1,000 stickers will be placed on drink cups and food containers from various dining locations to spread awareness about sexual misconduct and related resources.

As part of the ‘Cup of Prevention’ campaign, more than 1,000 stickers will be placed on drink cups and food containers from various dining locations to spread awareness about sexual misconduct and related resources.

The QR code located on each sticker will direct campus community members to a website that contains information about sexual misconduct prevention and resources available to students, faculty and staff at The University of Toledo.

“Cup of Prevention is an important initiative that enhances education across The University of Toledo community,” said Rachel Kellett, a Title IX graduate assistant. “I encourage everyone to scan the QR codes to increase awareness and engagement.”

Cup of Prevention Week is one of several educational initiatives held throughout the academic year to raise awareness about campus resources available to those affected by sexual misconduct. This campaign also aims to promote a safe and healthy campus environment for all members of the UToledo community.

The Title IX Office is dedicated not only to providing resources and supportive measures for individuals impacted by sexual misconduct but also to educating the campus community on prevention efforts. Through initiatives like Rocket Upstanders, the office encourages everyone to take an active stand against sexual harassment and help foster a culture of respect and accountability.

“Rocket Dining is proud to continue to support the Title IX office during Cup of Prevention Week to amplify their essential work educating students on being Rocket Upstanders,” said Aaron Skees, director of marketing for Rocket Dining.

UToledo’s Title IX Office ensures compliance with federal law. The Title IX Office may investigate reports of sexual misconduct, implement supportive measures when necessary, and work to remedy the effects of sexual misconduct.
