University Wellness and Health Promotion will launch an online survey next week to gauge employee needs and inform future wellness programming at The University of Toledo.
All employees are encouraged to complete the brief questionnaire, which will be available Monday, Jan. 22, through Friday, Feb. 23.
Employees will receive an email with a link to the survey on Monday.
“We want to ensure we’re matching our programming with the needs and interests of our employees,” said Vicki Riddick, director of University Wellness and Health Promotion. “This is an opportunity for employees to tell us what we’re doing well and help us develop more meaningful future wellness initiatives.”
The survey includes questions about health topics employees would like to see covered and their preferred format for engaging in wellness programming. It also will collect feedback on what motivates employees to participate in programming and how UToledo can provide a workplace environment that supports both physical and mental wellbeing.
Employees can participate anonymously, though individuals who do provide their names will be entered into a prize raffle.
University Wellness and Health Promotion also is collaborating with Recreational Services to offer several fitness classes during spring semester.
A beginner strength training workshop will be held twice weekly from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays from Jan. 22 to Feb. 14, and Zumba classes will be held weekly from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. on Tuesdays from Jan. 23 to Feb. 13. Both classes will be held at the Student Recreation Center on Main Campus.
Space in those classes is limited. Individuals can register via webform.
Additionally, two free employee fitness classes will be offered this semester: trackside fitness at the Morse Center on Health Science Campus and Rocket Yoga at the Student Recreation Center on main campus.
