U.S. News & World Report has once again recognized The University of Toledo’s online offerings as being among the nation’s best.
UToledo ranked 123 out of 350 participating universities in the publishing company’s 2025 Best Online Bachelor’s Programs list, which was released Tuesday, Jan. 21.
U.S. News & World Report also ranked five individual online program areas at UToledo.
In the John B. and Lillian E. Neff College of Business, UToledo’s online business bachelor’s degree and the online master’s degree in business administration were ranked 87 and 128 respectively, putting both solidly in the top half of all ranked programs.
UToledo also was nationally ranked for its bachelor’s degree programs for veterans, online master’s degree in engineering program, and online master’s degree in education program.
“We are proud to again see UToledo recognized as one of the best online colleges in the country,” said Dr. Scott Molitor, interim provost and executive vice president for academic affairs. “UToledo offers a robust catalog of online degree and certificate programs, providing our students both flexible and high-quality educational opportunities.”
U.S. News rankings are determined based on a variety of criteria, including graduation rates, faculty credentials and training, peer assessment and student services and technology.
UToledo currently offers more than 60 online degrees and certificates, ranging from undergraduate accounting and finance programs to master’s level public health and doctor of nursing practice degrees.
The University also has 81 courses that are currently certified by Quality Matters — the 10th most out of the 320 U.S. colleges and universities with QM-certified courses. Quality Matters is the gold standard for benchmarking quality of online and hybrid courses examining a course’s overall design, learning objectives, instructional materials and student interaction and support.
