Trio on Women’s Soccer Receive OCSA Academic All-Ohio Honors

Toledo forward Madison Medalle was named to the 2023 Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association (OCSA) NCAA Women’s Division I Second-Team All-Ohio on Monday. The redshirt senior also was named OCSA Academic All-Ohio, along with junior Olivia Dault and senior Emily Mann.

Medalle, a native of Clinton Township, Michigan, appeared in 18 games this season and led the Rockets with seven goals (7th in MAC). She set up four assists and was 1-for-1 in penalty shot attempts, which she made vs. Northwestern on Aug. 27. Medalle scored two goals in the season-opener at UIC (Aug. 17) and against Detroit Mercy (Sept. 3), which earned her Mid-American Conference Offense Player of the Week honors.

Medalle is the first Rocket to earn OCSA All-Ohio accolades since Rachel MacLeod (2010-13) earned OCSA First-Team All-Ohio honors in 2013.

Medalle earned first-team Academic All-Ohio honors, while Dault and Mann were named second-team All-Ohio honorees.

Medalle earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Toledo and is working towards a master’s degree in social work, with a 3.94 grade-point average.

Dault, a native of Grand Haven, Michigan, holds a 3.92 GPA while pursuing a business degree. She started all 18 games at midfield in 2023. She posted a season-high four shots with one goal against Central Michigan (Oct. 1) and led UT with 19 shots on goal.

Mann started all 18 games this season at midfield and logged a career-high 1513:12 minutes on the field. A native of Willoughby, Ohio, Mann scored her first collegiate goal vs. Loyola Chicago (Aug. 25) and added two more assists to her resume.

The Rockets’ trio also were CSC Academic All-District and Academic All-MAC honorees this year for their performance in the classroom and on the field during the 2023 season.
