The University of Toledo football program announced its Mid-American Conference opponents for the next three seasons Thursday.
In 2024, the Rockets will host Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Miami and Ohio. The road games next fall will be at Akron, Buffalo, Eastern Michigan and Northern Illinois.
The 2025 MAC home schedule will feature Ball State, Eastern Michigan, Kent State and Northern Illinois, with road contests at Bowling Green, Miami, Ohio and Western Michigan.
Home games in 2026 will include Akron, Bowling Green, Buffalo and Western Michigan. The road trips will be at Ball State, Central Michigan, Kent State and Northern Illinois.
The schedules are part of a new scheduling model announced by the MAC Office that eliminates the MAC East and West Divisions. The top two teams based on conference winning percentage will compete in the MAC Football Championship Game at Ford Field in Detroit.
This new model will allow for each team to face all 11 conference opponents home and away at least once during a three-year cycle. Additionally, the new format will incorporate protected opponents based on geographic location and rivalries. In the new format, Toledo will play Bowling Green and Northern Illinois every season.
The full 2024 football schedule will be released at the end of February.
