The Food Pantries on UToledo’s Main Campus and the Health Science Campus receive more than a thousand pounds of fresh fruit, vegetables and other food items between them on a weekly basis.

All current UToledo students can receive up to three days’ worth of food each week. And all students, staff and faculty in need are eligible for an additional bag of food during an emergency.

All current UToledo students can receive up to three days’ worth of food each week. And all students, staff and faculty in need are eligible for an additional bag of food during an emergency.

The Main Campus Student Food Pantry is located in the Lancelot Thompson Student Union Room 2504 and is open from 8:15 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. The Health Science Campus Student Food Pantry is located in the Health Education Building Room 112 and is open from 3 to 7 p.m. weekdays.

The Office of Student Advocacy and Support is also looking for donations to keep the pantries stocked, particularly personal hygiene items (shampoo, deodorant, feminine products) and COVID-19 prevention products (hand sanitizer, hand soap, masks).

“Our community needs these support services more than ever during this difficult time,” said Benjamin Weiner, coordinator of student advocacy and support. “Our goal is to continue to provide basic need items for each and every Rocket. We hope to continue address insecurities on this campus and strive to improve the human condition.”

Donations can be made directly to the Main Campus Student Food Pantry or by calling 419.530.2171 to schedule a pickup. Monetary donations can be made online through the UToledo Foundation website.
