The 24-hour hackathon will run from 8 a.m. Saturday, March 15, to 2 p.m. Sunday, March 16, at The University of Toledo College of Engineering’s Nitschke Hall. Participation is free, and applications are open to individuals and teams through Saturday, March 1, at the RocketHacks website.

RocketHacks, hosted by UToledo in collaboration with Major League Hacking, will encourage participants to develop innovative and impactful projects in one of four specialized tracks: artificial intelligence for good, sustainability, finance or healthcare.

Participation is open to students of any academic discipline at any college or university. No technical skills or experience are necessary, and organizers will provide workshops, mentors and other helpful resources throughout the event. Meals and snacks also will be provided.

RocketHacks will run parallel to Code&Create, a hands-on game design workshop for high school students to learn the basics of coding through the programming language Scratch.
