UToledo students have the Power To Do more to achieve their degree goals with summer courses at UToledo. Summer course registration opens Wednesday, Feb. 12, for all students.
“Summer session is a great chance for our students to get ahead in their degree programs,” said Dr. Scott Molitor, interim provost and executive vice president for academic affairs. “Whether students focus on completing sequenced courses to be ready for fall or are participating in internships, co-ops or research, summer is an opportunity to work toward their academic goals in a meaningful way to reach graduation.”
Molitor encouraged continuing students to talk with their academic advisor when planning their 2025-26 schedule to learn how summer courses can help them meet their goals.
“I would also encourage students who have had to take a break from their UToledo journey to consider summer courses,” Molitor said. “Summer offers them the ability to focus on just one class to get back into the swing of academics. We want every Rocket to achieve their graduation goals, and summer courses can help them on that path.”
UToledo also welcomes guest students to take summer courses and transfer credits back to their home institution with ease.
Most financial aid is available for summer sessions, but students do need to have a completed FAFSA on file and apply for and use aid over the summer. UToledo also offers summer campus housing to students who are enrolled in summer courses for the duration of the session in which they are enrolled.
Summer Session I begins on Monday, May 12, and there are two additional sessions with start dates in May and June. Sessions are either six or eight weeks long.
