Registration is open for The University of Toledo’s College of Nursing Rocket Nursing Camp, with limited space available for camp sessions scheduled Tuesday and Wednesday, June 6-7, and Tuesday and Wednesday, July 25-26.
The in-person day camp is for high school students going into their junior or senior year in fall 2023. Students will choose one of the two summer camp dates to attend, and will park on campus or be dropped off and picked up each day during their camp session.
Rocket Nursing Camp participants will learn what it means to be a nurse while participating in fun, hands-on activities.
“The Rocket Nursing Camp is a great way to learn about the field of nursing,” said Dr. Kathleen Mitchell, associate dean of Student Affairs and an assistant professor in the College of Nursing. “You will have the opportunity to meet faculty, staff and nursing students while engaging in nursing-related activities in our Interprofessional Immersive Simulation Center and Nursing Lab.”
The camp registration fee is $25 per student, with a limited amount of financial need scholarships available.
