The African American Legacy Project of Northwest was founded in 2004 to help foster intellectual, socioeconomic and participatory growth in communities where African Americans reside.

“The African American Legacy Project serves as a testament to the rich history and ongoing contributions of African Americans, providing an inspiring backdrop for students to reflect on their role in shaping a more inclusive and diverse future,” said Tessa Scott, multicultural program manager in the Office of Multicultural Student Success.
