The University of Toledo Invitational Sales Competition (UTISC) returns for its ninth year, bringing together nearly 120 sales students from 35 universities nationwide to the UToledo campus from Thursday, Feb. 22, through Saturday, Feb. 24.

As the first and only national sales competition exclusively for non-seniors, UTISC offers student participants the opportunity to showcase their talents, while sponsors have the chance to identify and engage with promising young talent early in their collegiate careers.

During the ninth annual University of Toledo Invitational Sales Competition, students will be challenged to showcase their adaptability and interpersonal skills.

With over 300 participants from more than 50 organizations and 20-plus states, the event provides a rich pool of potential recruits for businesses seeking future sales leaders.

Students will be challenged to showcase their adaptability and interpersonal skills through a real-world sales challenge: the 3M Secure Click Half Face Reusable Respirator, putting their sales acumen to the test in a practical and relevant scenario.

To encourage teamwork and representation across different academic levels, teams will be comprised of one junior and one sophomore or freshman, competing in separate divisions for the Junior Division and Sophomore/Freshman Division titles.

Industry professionals will provide expert coaching and conduct interview sessions, offering valuable guidance and helping students hone their professional edge.

Various development blocks designed to enhance sales knowledge and skills will be offered, providing participants with additional learning opportunities.

A dedicated career fair will connect students with top employers, allowing them to explore potential career paths and make meaningful connections.

Students can leverage their digital savvy in a social media competition, adding another layer of engagement and friendly rivalry to the event.

The competition culminates in an awards ceremony recognizing the top performers and celebrating their achievements.

Leading companies like 3M, International Paper, National Corporate Housing, Hilti, Fastenal, Gartner and more have joined forces to support this event.

Dedicated to transforming the sales profession through education, innovation and connection, the Edward H. Schmidt School of Professional Sales serves as the event organizer, underlining its commitment to the future of the industry.
