Library Hosting Feb. 26 Lecture Exploring AI and Human Creativity

University Libraries is hosting “Code, Collage, and Critique: Exploring Creativity and Control in the Age of A.I.” on Wednesday, Feb. 26, in the Carlson Library main event space.

Scheduled as part of the Carlson Conversations Lecture Series, the event begins at 3 p.m. and will feature UToledo faculty members Dr. Ashley Pryor, associate professor of humanities; Dr. John Sarnecki, associate professor of philosophy and chair of the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies; and Dr. Ammon Allred, a professor of philosophy and religious studies.

Their discussion will explore the complex technical, political and ethical considerations around A.I., including the relationship between human creativity and artificial intelligence.

The “Code, Collage, and Critique: Exploring Creativity and Control in the Age of A.I.” lecture is in conjunction with the ongoing “Digital Imagination: AI Artistry Unleased” exhibition in the North Gallery.
