UToledo Board of Trustees Member Dr. Eleanore Awadalla was recently announced as a member of the YWCA’s Class of 2024 Milestones Honorees. Awadalla, who is serving a term ending July 1, 2031, leads Awadalla Dental. She was honored for her contributions to business.
Among the other Milestone Award recipients are three UToledo alumnae:

Dr. Marie Bush, who earned her Ph.D. in educational leadership and administration in 2000 and served as an adjunct professor for UToledo, was recognized for education; Dawn Buskey, who received her bachelor’s degree in education in 1988, was recognized for sciences; and Catherine Griffing Hoolahan, who earned her JD from the College of Law in 1986, was recognized for government.
In addition, Ann Heckler, a teacher at Toledo Ballet who, in 2015, partnered with The University of Toledo’s Department of Theatre and Film and its Human Trafficking and Social Justice Institute to choreograph and produce an original work, “Masks,” using her craft to shed light on the horrors of human trafficking, was recognized for arts.
