Current UToledo students are encouraged to complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for federal financial aid, including grants, loans and work-study, for the 2021-22 academic year.
A new Explaining the FAFSA website provides step-by-step directions on how to complete the form. It includes tips on all the relevant documents you need to gather before you start and also the next steps after you submit the form.
The FAFSA becomes available each year on Oct. 1. The earlier a student submits the FAFSA, the better, as many aid funds are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
