Toledo senior guards Quinesha Lockett and Sophia Wiard were named to the watch list for the Women’s College All-Star Game that will be played on Saturday, April 6 at Cleveland State University during the Women’s Final Four weekend in Cleveland.
Toledo is one of only 13 schools in the country to have multiple players on the watch list, along with South Carolina, LSU, Baylor, Stanford, Virginia Tech, UConn, Indiana, Mississippi State, Louisville, Kentucky, North Carolina and Creighton.
The event will feature top seniors from around the country and will tip at 3:30 p.m. (ESPN2). Twenty players will be chosen for the game at a later date.
Lockett, the 2022-23 MAC Player of the Year, is averaging 15.4 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game this season. Wiard, a two-time All-MAC honoree, is averaging 15.0 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game.
The Rockets are 22-4 (14-1 MAC) heading into Saturday’s game at Western Michigan. Toledo finishes the regular season with home games vs. Eastern Michigan (Wednesday, March 6) and Kent State (Saturday, March 9).
