UToledo Recognized With Local Advertising Awards

The University of Toledo’s Office of Marketing and Communications received three Bronze Addys from the Toledo American Advertising Federation at the 2024 American Advertising Awards on Thursday at the Toledo School for the Arts.

UToledo won for the “Dear Tomorrow” 30-second TV spot created with Madhouse Creative, a Toledo-based marketing creative agency, as well as the University’s 2023 Viewbook, “Countdown to Launch,” and its “Majors Exploration” direct mail “majors explorer” wheel piece.

The University’s 2023 Viewbook, “Countdown to Launch,” received a Bonze Addy from the Toledo American Advertising Federation.

“I am always impressed by the work of our team to promote the amazing opportunities at UToledo,” said Meghan Cunningham, vice president for marketing and communications. “Earning an Addy award is an additional external recognition that compares our great work against peers in the advertising industry. I am proud of our team.”

The “Dear Tomorrow” spot won in the regional/national television commercial in the film, video and sound category. Filmed on campus in May, the “Dear Tomorrow” spot featured students from the University’s healthcare, engineering and social science programs confidently addressing their future. The commercial is an important component to UToledo’s multichannel advertising campaigns to support new student recruitment.

The University’s Viewbook won in the brochure in the sales and marketing category. The Majors Exploration wheel piece won in the direct mail 3D/mixed in the sales and marketing category.

UToledo’s Athletic Department also three won awards for its “Rise Together” campaign created with Toledo-based creative agency Voxhub.

“Rise Together” won a Silver Addy in the integrated branded content campaign in the cross platform category and Bronze Addys in the branded content and entertainment campaign in the film, video and sound category and online/interactive campaign in the cross platform campaign.
