Toledo’s Madison Giglio, Kennedy Lovell and Lauren Kilgore were recognized for their outstanding performances in the pool and in the classroom when the College Sports Communicators (CSC) recently announced its 2022-23 Academic All-District Women’s Swimming and Diving Team.

The honor recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes by their academic achievements and athletic accomplishments. To be eligible, a student-athlete must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50 and have competed in at least 50% of the team’s meets.

Those honored as Academic All-District will move onto the ballot for CSC Academic All-America Team honors, which will be announced later this month.

Giglio is a junior pursuing a degree in civil engineering with a 3.873 GPA.

Lovell is a senior working towards her master’s degree in literature with a 4.00 GPA.

Kilgore holds a 3.902 GPA and is completing her doctorate in pharmacy.
