The Toledo Rockets are the No. 7 seed in the Mid-American Conference Tournament and will host No. 10 seed Miami in the first round Monday, March 9, at 7 p.m. in Savage Arena.

The game will be carried by ESPN3 and BCSN.

The Rockets finished the 2014-15 conference campaign fourth in the West Division, while the RedHawks placed fourth in the East Division.

The cross-division rivals have squared off on three occasions in the post-season tourney, with the Rockets holding a 2-1 edge. They most recently met in the semifinals of the 2008 tournament in Cleveland, with UT dropping a 70-66 decision.

Toledo has won the last four match-ups in the series at home, most recently claiming a 63-53 victory Jan. 3 in the 2015 MAC opener. The Rockets have outscored the RedHawks by 11.5 points (70.0-58.5) during this stretch.

Overall, Toledo holds a 20-8 edge vs. Miami in the Glass City.

UT, which is 9-4 at home, is coming off a 71-55 setback at MAC West Division champion Ball State Saturday.

Toledo, which is 7-0 in the first round of the MAC Tournament, will tangle with a Miami squad that dropped a 75-60 decision at MAC regular-season champion Ohio Saturday.

The winner of the UT-Miami contest will meet the winner of No. 6 seed Eastern Michigan (18-11, 11-7 MAC) and No. 11 seed Kent St. (5-24, 3-15 MAC) in the second round Wednesday, March 11, at approximately 2:30 p.m. in Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland.
