The University of Toledo is again rallying for donations to support fellow Rockets in need.
The Division of Student Affairs, the Honors College, the Eberly Center and the Alumni Association are preparing for this semester’s Rocket Thrift Shop, where students will “shop” for free items. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, April 3, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Centennial Mall. (Thompson Student Union Ingman Room in the event of rain).
Organizers are accepting all donations of clothing and small housewares for the April 3 Rocket Thrift Shop, but are especially in need of housewares, men’s clothing and shoes, and larger-sized clothes.
The success of the Rocket Thrift Shop heavily depends on the generosity of donors. Organizers are accepting all donations of clothing and small housewares, but especially in need of housewares, men’s clothing and shoes, and larger-sized clothes. New or gently used, clean items with no stains, rips or broken pieces are welcomed and they can be dropped off during regular business hours at the following locations:
• All residence halls
• Thompson Student Union Room 2500 (OMSS)
• Thompson Student Union Room 2518 (CASE)
• Tucker Hall 0168 (Eberly Center)
• Snyder Memorial Room 1000 (CISP)
• University Health Center Main Entrance (Counseling Center)
• Nitschke Hall Room 1040 (Shah Center)
• Collier Building Main Lobby
• Mulford Library First Floor (Student Service Center)
• Center for Alumni and Donor Engagement
“We are excited to now host this event twice a year and are looking forward to being outside on Centennial Mall,” said Aleiah Jones, director of OMSS. “Students are asking about the event and are very appreciative of this initiative.”
