Toledo has now earned at least one major MAC post-season award for the fourth-straight season, having earned recognition for Sixth Player of the Year in 2021-22 (Hannah Noveroske) and the MAC Player of the Year in 2022-23 (Quinesha Lockett) and 2023-24 (Sophia Wiard).

The quartet of honorees helped Toledo to a 22-7 regular season and 13-5 MAC record, good for the No. 2 seed in this week’s MAC Tournament. Toledo eclipsed 20 victories and finished in the top two in the MAC standings for the fourth-consecutive season.

The Rockets begin their 2025 MAC Tournament journey in the quarterfinal round against No. 7 seed Central Michigan. Tipoff from Rocket Arena (formerly Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse) in Downtown Cleveland will be at approximately 4 p.m. on ESPN+, WCWA 1230 AM and The Varsity Network app.

Garcia earned a MAC postseason honor for the first time in her career. She is averaging 8.0 points per game on 40.8% from the field and has drained 29 three-pointers, adding 38 assists (1.3/game) offensively. Garcia scored in double figures 10 times including six of the Rockets’ final nine regular-season contests. She leads Toledo in steals with 31 and is second in rebounds with 107 (4.7/game). She collected a game-high 11 rebounds in a dominant defensive performance at Navy on Nov. 30 and finished the regular season with a 14-point, 10-rebound double-double with three steals at Kent State on March 8.

Mikonowicz earned an All-MAC honor for the second season in a row, having taken a Third-Team All-MAC pick last season. She was consistently atop the league statistical ranks, finishing the regular season fourth in field goal percentage (52.4%), seventh in free throw percentage (82.6%), eighth in rebounding (6.3), 14th in scoring (13.4) and 18th in three-point percentage (35.4%). Mikonwicz delivered several big performances, including a 27-point, 10-rebound double-double at Navy, and 23 points against Ball State on Feb. 19, when Toledo sent the Cardinals to their first league loss of the season. The Rossford native has also achieved several career milestones, breaking the program record for minutes played and becoming just the second Rocket ever to reach 1,000 career rebounds.

Carruthers established herself as one of the top guards in the league after coming to Toledo from St. Francis (Pa.). She is eighth in the league in free throw percentage (82.3%), ninth in three-point percentage (37.6%) and 20th in scoring (11.5). She leads Toledo with 77 assists (2.7/game) and has produced 19 double-digit scoring games and 10 efforts of at least 15 points. Carruthers is averaging 3.1 rebounds per game and has added 27 steals on the defensive end. The Toledo native produced a season-high 21 points against Bowling Green on Jan. 25 and hit the game-winning three in the closing seconds at Buffalo on Feb. 5.

Fedd-Robinson averaged 5.7 points on 43.9% from the field to go with 3.1 rebounds/game and 1.2 assists/game. Defensively, she added 22 steals and 20 blocks, tied for the eighth-most blocks in the league. She scored 15 or more points four times, including a season-high 17 with 16 in the first half at Akron on Jan. 4. The New Jersey native also scored the game-tying and game-winning baskets late in a win over Mercyhurst on Dec. 6. She had five multi-steal games, with a season-high four in a come-from-behind win against Northern Kentucky on Nov. 17, along with four games with multiple blocks.
