According to the National Kidney Foundation, more than 26 million American adults suffer from chronic kidney disease.

The Kidney Foundation of Northwest Ohio will host a charity event, “Kilometers For Kidneys,” Sunday, March 22, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Henry L. Morse Center on The University of Toledo’s Heath Science Campus.

Volunteers will help raise money for patients with chronic kidney disease by walking around the Morse Center track.

The event also will include entertainment, games, prizes, sports, and educational booths and screenings. Lunch will be provided.

The Kidney Foundation of Northwest Ohio is a not-for-profit heath agency dedicated to helping people address the problem of kidney disease and related disorders through patient services, education, volunteerism, and research and development.
