The University of Toledo is rallying for donations to support Rockets in need.
The Division of Student Affairs is hosting Rocket Thrift Shop, an event for students to “shop” for free, gently used clothing, shoes, housewares and more. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, April 15, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Thompson Student Union Ingman Room.

Donations currently accepted of new or gently used clothing (clean and free of stains and rips) are housewares, shoes, books, children’s items, hangers, reusable bags and more.
Donations can be dropped off at the following locations:
• Center for Alumni and Donor Engagement, 4510 Dorr St.
• HSC Collier Building Main Lobby
• HSC Mulford Library First Floor (Student Service Center)
• Rocket Hall Room 1300 (University College)
• Snyder Memorial Room 1000 (Center of International Studies and Programs)
• Thompson Student Union Room 2518 (Center for Advocacy and Student Experience)
• Research and Technology Complex 1
“As a student I love attending the Rocket Thrift Shop, it is an amazing opportunity to revamp my closet and gather some much-needed items that sometimes I can’t afford like a new winter coat or even a crockpot,” said Leonardo Menchaca, a senior in the John B. and Lillian E. Neff College of Business and Innovation. “The thrift haul is always top notch too because it is built by the UToledo community, so there is always a high variety of styles and sizes. On top of that it really helps me to empty out my closet through donating, which of course makes space for my new finds.”

For community convenience we will be offering two specific Drive-Through Drop-Off days. Donors are asked to pull up and we will grab donations:
• Monday, April 7, from 1 to 4 p.m. in Parking Area 11; and
• Wednesday, April 9, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Parking Area 11.
