Valerie Simmons-Walston, special advisor to the president for Community Engagement and Strategic Partnerships, discusses spring’s successful UToledo Cares Charitable Giving Campaign during the Employee Charitable Giving Campaign Breakfast Wrap-Up Thursday morning in Libbey Hall.
During the breakfast, Walston expressed thanks to all of her committee members including Co-Chair Jennifer Archer and The University of Toledo President Gregory Postel commended Walston on her leadership. There were 50-plus employees, students and community members in attendance at the event.
Walston said that, between The University of Toledo Medical Center and UToledo faculty and staff, nearly $110,000 was raised for local charities.
