The University of Toledo Ritter Planetarium will present two programs in April: “Dynamic Earth” and “The Case of the Disappearing Planet.”
“Dynamic Earth,” narrated by actor Liam Neeson, follows a trail of energy that flows from the sun into the interlocking systems that shape our climate. Audiences will ride along on swirling ocean and wind currents, dive into the heart of a monster hurricane, come face-to-face with tiny plankton and gigantic whales and fly into roiling volcanoes.
“Dynamic Earth” will screen at 7:30 p.m. Fridays through April 25.
“The Case of the Disappearing Planet” follows detective Skye Watcher as she tracks down clues stretching back hundreds of years to discover what happened to the ex-planet Pluto. Her investigation will teach audiences about the changing status of planets in our solar system.
“The Case of the Disappearing Planet” will screen at 1 p.m. Saturdays through April 26.
Both programs are appropriate for general audiences.
Admission to planetarium shows is $8 for adults and $6 for children, senior citizens and UToledo community members. Children ages 3 and younger are free. Parking is free in Area 1N within 45 minutes of the beginning of planetarium shows.
