The University of Toledo football team will play two future games vs. Syracuse, Toledo Vice President and Director of Athletics Bryan B. Blair announced.
The Rockets will travel to Syracuse on Sept. 19, 2026, and host the Orange in the Glass Bowl on Sept. 22, 2029.
Toledo and Syracuse have played three times, most recently in a 33-30 Syracuse victory at the Carrier Dome (now JMA Wireless Dome) in 2011. The Rockets last hosted Syracuse at the Glass Bowl in 1999.
Syracuse plays in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). The Orange had a 10-3 record in 2024 and finished the season ranked No. 21 in the CFP Top 25.
Toledo opens the 2025 season at SEC foe Kentucky on Aug. 30 before returning to the Glass City for its home opener, “The Biggest Party in Toledo,” vs. Western Kentucky on Sept. 6. Contests vs. Morgan State (Sept. 13) and the Homecoming game vs. Akron (Sept. 27) round out action in the Glass Bowl in September. Toledo’s remaining three home games are vs. Kent State (Oct. 18), a mid-week game vs. Northern Illinois (Wednesday, Nov. 5) and a clash with Ball State the Saturday before Thanksgiving (Nov. 22).
