Songfest returns for its 87th installment on Saturday, April 6, as UToledo students dance and sing for a philanthropic cause in the University’s second-oldest tradition.
This year Songfest supports Sunshine Communities, a local nonprofit that aims to support people of all ages with developmental disabilities.
The theme for this year’s event is “Songfest 2024: Rocky’s Roarin’ Records” and will include song selections from Billboard’s No. 1 hits. The event begins at 5 p.m. at Savage Arena and will run past 10 p.m.
“Songfest is more than an event; it’s a cherished tradition here at The University of Toledo,” said Greta Fobare, Songfest co-emcee representing Mortar Board National Senior Honor Society. “This night is truly a testament to our campus unity and spirit. We cannot wait to see current students, alumni, administrators and community members come together to showcase their Rocket pride, all while supporting a great cause.”
Songfest donations to Sunshine Communities can be made through the event’s Fundly webpage.
