As we approach May’s spring commencement ceremonies, we look back to this photo from April 19, 1968, of University of Toledo President William S. Carlson (right) and Graduate School Dean William H. Leckie wearing the proposed and traditional commencement academic regalia, respectively. The proposed academic regalia won out and is still in use today.
