The UToledo Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning is hosting its next virtual workshop in the Foundations of Excellence in Teaching Series on Thursday, April 7.
In a discussion titled “Authentic Socratic Method: A Tried-and-True Teaching Tool From the Humanities,” Dr. Ashley Pryor, associate professor of humanities, will explore the value of using Socratic-style questions beyond the pedagogical tool kit.
The workshop will explore some of the useful tools inherent in this ancient, tried-and-true method, and how these additional strategies can help us navigate otherwise difficult dialogues in a fun and engaging way.
The hourlong workshop begins at noon via Zoom. For more information and to attend the virtual event, go to the University Teaching Center’s website.
