The Rockets will hold their annual Blue and Gold Spring Football Scrimmage Saturday, April 11, in the Glass Bowl.

spring football ad for storyKickoff is set for 1 p.m. Admission is free. Fans can park in either Lot 10 or Lot 9, and should enter via Gate A on the west side of stadium near press tower.

Rockets players and coaches will sign autographs after the game in the West Concourse.

Prior to the game, the Rockets will hold a free football clinic for youth in eighth grade or younger from 11 to noon. Check-in will begin at 10:45 a.m. Click here to register.

Sides for the game — as well as coaching staffs and honorary alumni coaches — will be determined Wednesday and announced Thursday.

The game itself will use normal college football rules except that all kicks will be dead balls — no blocks, no returns. Also, the second half will feature a running clock.

Head Coach Matt Campbell welcomes back a team that went 9-4 in 2014 and returns a solid core of players next fall. Leading the offense will be junior running back Kareem Hunt, a first-team All-Mid-American Conference selection and the MVP of the GoDaddy Bowl, and a pair of All-MAC receivers, senior Alonzo Russell and junior Corey Jones. Eight starters return to the defense, including senior defensive end Trent Voss (GoDaddy Bowl defensive MVP) and two All-MAC defensive tackles, senior Orion Jones and junior Treyvon Hester.

Toledo will open its season Thursday, Sept. 3, vs. Stony Brook.

Season tickets can be ordered online or by calling 419.530.4653.
